“Bach Has Fun”: Bach composed some of the most profound vocal music of all time, including humorous music such as the two popular cantatas performed by the renowned Canadian soprano Shannon Mercer and Victoria-raised baritone Tyler Duncan. Also on this program will be Bach’s engaging, complex mathematical play with musical forms in the 6-part ricercar from ‘The Musical Offering’.
