Victoria Blues Society hosts the JW Jones Band. Labeled as Canada’s top touring blues act, they have played all over the world (Canada, USA, Australia, Brazil, 9 countries in Europe), and are often called the highlight of the year at venues everywhere. Last year they played seven countries in Europe and the Legendary Blues Cruise in the Eastern Caribbean. Dan Aykroyd wrote the liner notes for “Bluelisted”, has performed with the band, and said “one of my favourites… this is an amazing blues band!” Kissing in 29 Days was nominated for a 2007 Maple Blues Award for Recording of the Year and the band was winner of Electric Act of the Year at 2005 Maple Blues Awards.

The Victoria Blues Society would love to support this upcoming Canadian act and treat the fans on the Island to a great blues show.

From Aykroyd's liner notes: "JW’s pure, honest singing plus guitar stars sprinkled throughout on crisp covers and cool originals make this record a yellow dot must-buy addition to the catalog for his fans and for new enthusiasts who are getting to know him."
