Brad Justason is a saxophonist from Victoria BC. He completed his undergraduate degree in Music, (BMus in Comprehensive Saxophone) at the University of Victoria (UVic) where he studied with Mr. Wendell Clanton.
Brad has performed with the UVic Wind Symphony under the direction of Dr. Gerry King; the UVic Orchestra under the direction of Ajtony Csaba; the UVic Jazz Orchestra directed by Dr. Patrick Boyle; and has toured through South-East Asia as a Baritone (voice) with the UVic Chamber Singers directed by Dr. Bruce More.
Brad is a Canadian Forces Reservist with the CIC (Cadet Instructors Cadre) Branch. Through the CIC, Brad teaches music to members of the Royal Canadian Sea, Army, and Air Cadet Programmes. For the past two years he has worked as Music Instructor at HMCS Quadra Sea Cadet Summer Training Centre in Comox, BC. In the summer of 2012, he served as the Assistant Director of Music for the Quadra Music School. He currently serves as the Director of Music for the 848 (Royal Roads) Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron Marching Band in Langford.
As a Baritone Saxophonist he has competed with Axis Saxophone Quartet and The Cordova Saxophone Quartet in regional and provincial music festivals. He currently performs with the Casual Saxophone Quartet.
Brad has performed with Ska group, Föntösta, and with Quoia at the Tall Tree Music Festival. He is also a former Saxophonist and Vocalist for the Swiftsure Big Band.
Brad is a current member of The New Groovement a local Funk Band.
